Some of the ideas that Jim presents in his poetry, in his music, that pose questions and inspire wonder, interpreted here into visual form: "The sunset… the night… the sea… Strange and haunting, the path of the sun, you know?" * In this painting, although this web image does not do it justice, we can see the infinite beauty of the cosmos, and the sunset of the American West, but the ocean has turned to crimson, and the earth is ablaze… "what have they done to our fair sister?" Jim's presence, his essence, creates this scene.
